Biography
Mr. Christopher Lipp has performed forensic investigations and designed repairs for damaged and deficient building envelope components. Mr. Lipp's experience includes the evaluation of distressed facade elements, including windows, doors, curtain walls, storefront systems, stucco, brick and fiber cement panels on both historic and new construction. Christopher has designed, tested and certified new fenestration products to both American Architectural Manufacturers Association guidelines and Miami-Dade Notice of Approval standards. This expertise has allowed Mr. Lipp to become qualified as an Expert Witness regarding building envelope components and water intrusion issues. Mr. Lipp has also served as a Task Group member, providing guidance to a University of Florida research group advising the Florida Building Commision on water intrusion issues into high rise buildings during wind driven rain events. Since 2005, Christopher has also evaluated large commercial buildings after hurricane, hail and tornado events throughout the Gulf Coast, including Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi, Hurricane Irma in Florida and Hurricane Ida in Louisiana. Mr. Lipp has developed and presented a national webinar regarding the evaluation of storm damage, regional presentations on assessing fenestration elements to the International Institute of Building Envelope Consultants (IIBEC) and local presentations on building envelope repairs to the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Georgia Chapter.
