Biography
Mr. Will Godfrey is a Senior Managing Engineer where he provides initial response, condition assessment, and forensic evaluation of structures damaged by natural disasters, collapses, fires, building envelope failures, and other large and complex losses as part of YA Engineering Services.
Mr. Godfrey is a licensed Professional Engineer and Structural Engineer in more than 15 states. He has practiced internationally in Canada, China, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. He is an expert in complex structural analysis, including nonlinear, time history, and response spectrum analyses, as well as failure analysis of post-loss structures affected by fires, floods, failures, and catastrophes, both natural and manufactured. He has focused on structural assessments and documentation for property damage following global natural disasters, as well as complex litigation and subrogation matters. Mr. Godfrey has authored papers regarding the computational expense and accuracy of co-linear seismic response combination methods as well as the impact of code modernization on building design and repair.
